Yahoo Headline News: Top 10 cars expected to hold value. 1 Series is in there!!!

Pretty cool huh.

http://finance.yahoo.com/loans/artic...-Holding-Value

BMW 1 Series

Style: Small luxury/small-family
5-year residual value: 37.8 percent or $10,811
Engine: Six-cylinder, 3.0-liter, 230 horsepower
Warranty: 4 years/50,000 miles
Special features: Two-way power glass moon roof, anti-theft AM/FM audio system with 10 speakers and satellite radio/MP3 capability
Reasons it will hold value: It has a very low volume and is smaller, lighter and cheaper than the BMW 3 series.

Same reason the Mini Cooper is holding its value.

I read another list online.

1. Mini Cooper
2. Infiniti G37
3. BMW 1 series

Yeah, especially when I sold my 2005 Civic Coupe EX this past May for $11,500. I bought it new for $17,000. And, it was a dealership that paid that much!

Yeah sorry bout the unnecessary concern. It was 37% or so and it was in the top 10. I think they used the base for a 128i. Should have mentioned that.

Heck, my 02 MINI would still go for 16000+ after 6-7 years... I think the 10k would be closer to 20K with an optioned 135i.

Sounds great. I'm having a tough time deciding how having Dinan software installed will affect resale value.

not sure how a viper got in there? the R8 would have topped the list, but ALG won't quote residuals for it. 1 year old cars with several thousand miles are bringing MSRP +$20-30k

take a close look it is the 128 not the 135.

Engine: Six-cylinder, 3.0-liter, 230 horsepower

over the years it is rare that gasoline turbos hold their value well. 135 owners should not get too excited
