Scratched by dealer

Anybody else have the car scratched while in for service etc?

I got two fresh scratches courtesy of a dealer roughly 300 miles away from home. Needless to say im a little miffed. One of them is deep...you can hear it when you rub your fingernail over it.

Any advise for getting reimbursed for the fix?

If I take one of my cars in for service I take dated pictures inside and out of the vehicle and I let my SA know I have the pictures. I required a full inspection upon pick up. If any issues exist they are taken care and no questions are asked.

Give them a call. The SA is required to do a walk-around the vehicle to notice any scratches or flaws in the vehicle so that they are not liable. However, if they reported no scratches and you are reporting scratches, your best bet is to bring it to their attention. It can't hurt. Most dealerships have on-sight paint-touch up companies that will fix it
