Question re. stopwatch

I confess: I have lurked on this forum since about last Feb. when I placed the order for my 128. I have learned an incredible amount and have found the members of this forum to be very patient with those less knowledgable than themselves. Now for my very simple question: what is the stopwatch feature in iDrive for? I tried searching the archives and must have missed the answer - either that or it is so obvious that I'm going to regret asking. Thanks!

One could also use it to check the speedo accuracy by timing a measured mile at an indicated 60 mph.

Thanks for the welcome! I suspected that the stopwatch was probably intended for some activity related to the throttle. In that case, it will be wasted on me because I don't track my car and even the thought of a ticket gives me tremors. (I know, I know - why didn't I buy a Yugo or something!)

We get it. The speedo's off. :reposthorse:

The stopwatch is good for re-initializing the anti-trap on E65s, because you have to hold the switch for exactly 17 seconds. Thankfully, our cars aren't that convoluted.
