Question about the subs.. how are they installed.. and any pics? Are they oem and do they come with the upgraded package or its a strict upgrade?

I originally bought them off a member here as a project to upgrade my 1. I don't have hi-fi, so i wanted to add the additional under-seat subs and not pay $900 from BMW. It's my understanding that these will snap in right under the seats, but will not work without an upgraded amp. Something to do with the amount of channels is the reason why the stock amp will not work.
