Hi Everyone, I just bought an Alpine white 2008 135i and am storing it for the rest of this winter but will need a set of winter tire/wheels for next winter. Was just wondering if you all would mind posting pics of your winter tire/wheel setup.

My girl took a bath today and here she has her winter shoes on. Thanks to Tire Rack for the great service. I got the KM11 with Dunlops 3D in 17".:thumbup:

You need to transfer (or get another set of four) your oem centre caps into those wheels to keep up the Roundel theme. They fit in all of the Sport Edition wheels...handy that!

United BMW -- a forum sponsor -- likely has them the cheapest @ $4.50 each (Tire Rack sells them for $8 or $9 each). http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...catalogid=6218

i had to have them i love the lip
and they are fine in tri state area just have to keep them nice and inflated

They handle beautifully in the snow, by the way.

Thanks to Henry and Gil at Tire Rack - my new 225/45/17 Dunlop 3D's on SE A7's with TPMS shipped yesterday and arrived today via UPS - über fast shipping! If anyone wants to see what tires from Tire Rack look like when they arrive - here they are!

Somehow, I pictured them coming in individual boxes or one big box - I didn't think they'd come just like this. (Not knocking TireRack's packaging btw) I'll be putting them on this weekend. Now just watch - we won't get anymore snow or ice this season!

Look at the treads on these puppies - no wonder they eat through the snow... I highly recommend TireRack - professional, knowledgeable, great pricing, reasonable and fast shipping!

^^^ good buy. I have the 3D's and could not be happier. They are awesome in the snow, I have so much control that it allows you to play withe the car in snow. Tirerack was great for me also.

Where are the centre-caps? At minimum, pop in the oem ones from your summer wheels, as they'll fit. Dan @ United BMW retails the caps at $4.50 each / TireRack at $9 each.

My lease expires in May and rather than extending it for another 4-5 months until the new car arrives, I'm thinking of picking up a cheap used Miata and enjoying some guilt-free open top motoring...

Miata.net has online classified ads (as well as a large forum) and there are a few other places to look...namely Flyin' Miata or Good-Win Racing's forum for the odd ad on specialized Miatas. On the Miata.net site there is access to the various Miata club web pages, many of which will have their own online classified ads...so look up the clubs near you.
