I'm waiting for JIC/Cross to authorize a replacement bracket. I hope to have that info from them today.

Not anything to be worried about.
One of the brackets didn't align with the strut bolts. First time I (or JIC) have seen this, so we're figuring either a one-off defect or it was damaged during shipping. Either way, a replacement strut bar is being sent to him.

For what it's worth mine fit just fine, so some one-off issue makes sense to me.
