Your dealer did your instal. Did they weld or clamp your exhaust? I got mine installed at the dealer aswell...and its welded.

What is the real difference/benefit between welded vs clamped in this situation? Does it come with clamps? Dealers seem to be doing either.

I have a friend that can do this install but he sold his welder.

I really cant answer that question. Mine is welded because I got it after an accident that trashed my stock midpipes and axelback. So since I dont have a stock exhaust anyway I opted for welding.

I'm really on the fence about it, just wonder how it affects everyday usability, but the 128i isn't loud enough.

gains, not noticeable, but it roars when you go above ~4000rpm. Under that, it sounds pretty stock. I love it since it doesn't attract attention unless you push it.

Bozola, you have any more pics of the Performance exhaust tips? Like maybe something with the car on the ground, similar to photo #2 above of the stock tips? I'm trying to assess how they look installed - how far they stick out, how well, they're centered, etc. Thanks.

What kind of pricing are people getting for this exhaust? It looks like it clamps on to the very last section of the pipe from the catalytic converter? I did the BMW Performance Intake today, installed myself in about two hours. I like the appearance, and the sound seems cool too, need to make a video of it.

How about a video of the exhaust note?
