military pricing - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Does BMW offer special military pricing to take the european delivery? If so do you have to have been stationed over there within the a certain time frame or how does that work?

Any help would be great.

I am new to this forum and you all look very helpful. I am going to be getting a 135i soon.

Yes, you must be stationed here or anywhere outside of the U.S. This includes deployments also.

I believe Military Sales is cheaper than European Delivery.

2009 BMW Base price was $31,650 when I ordered mine.

I had three different people helping me order my car while I was deployed.

So do the german dealers accept U.S. spec'd vehicles for trade? Looks like they have some for sale in their pre-owned sales.

a question for members that used the MSP to buy their car. If it is delivered to the states, did you still have to pay sales tax on the car? I ask because that would be an additional 3 to 4k off the price of the car along with the stated discounts. I know I would have to pay licensing and registration fees no matter what,

It depends on the state. If you've owned the car for more than 3 months or driven a certain number of miles you're exempt from import tax of 5% or something, but each state has its regs on paying sales tax for new registrations in the US.

I think Washington state is one of the one's that get you on sale tax no matter what... but I am still asking and hoping for the best....

I just got all the final order stuff for my 2010 through Superior Motors. I'm deployed to Iraq right now so my delivery date is April 20th. My car also cost the $31,??? base price, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna pay for taxes when I go to register it.

Yep, Glen helped me as well. Great service and answered all my questions, no matter how dumb or annoying I was! USAA also made the financing easy. I was going to go through another bank, but it was WAY too difficult, so I went with the higher interest rate for better service. I should be picking up here within the next week!! I really can't wait!!!
