light weight crank pulley is on my "to do" list. Get in on the gb and it's not a bad deal!

Send a message via AIM to BSM 135i
just gut out your stock CDV for a FREE mod! that's what vendors are basically doing anyways and selling them for $30

I would recommend either buying one that is gutted out or just taking the thing off entirely...

is the CDV that bad? does gutting it out make it that much better?

What have you done so far. Easy mods are debadge, golf tee, despoiler, radio display fix for polarized sunglasses, mechanicalmagic passenger seat belt dummy buckle, tint, grills, splitters.

"Im bored Im going to mod my car."

Lol that's awesome.
You're my hero for the day.
Srsly.

You know the funny thing is I still have the stock CDV in my car and I love the way it shifts. Other that the fact that I have to let the clutch out with a small delay in the middle of travel (and only when cruising, when gunning it I shift 100% normally) I think it feels exactly like any other manual.
And I've been complemented tons of times on my smooth shifting.

But I have been meaning to try it out and if you dislike the feel of the shift now I think its a great quick mod to do when you're bored =P
Exhaust is also a pretty quick job in 99% of cars (never done a 1er so I cant say for certain here).
Although you probably don't want power mods a JB+ would be a super quick install and if you wanted to go JB3 (or w/e) later I'm sure you can make up most of the cost of the + when selling later.

Also: Debadging a BMW should be an arrestable offense.

what does the golf tee do?

i am still thinking about splitters, but cant decide whether or not i like the look of them

The stock muffler has a vacuum actuated flapper that can be disabled by blocking the vacuum hose. Makes the exhaust slightly louder. Plenty of info on the site about it.

To despoiler you basically just have to feel the stock spoiler bump thing is useless and tacky. Pics don't really show much since the stock spoiler is barely there. Of course it's all just personal preference. Another simple mod this pic shows is my painted diffuser. It's the shadowline one that Gravity Auto sales, or you could do that mod yourself too.

Sbefar01, on the private sales section of this site, Mechanicalmagic sales seat belt buckles some of us use so we can place our briefcase etc in the passenger seat without the gong activating. Many of us use a trimmed piece of overhead transparency film strategically position to shift the polarization on the radio display so we can still see it with polarized sunglasses.
