Recently I noticed unexpected brake warning several times. It just showed a big yellow warning sign. I was so surprised because I've never saw this kind of warning. It seemed DTC and DSC also didn't work at the moment.

Was there any brake issues with 135i? Mine is 2008.

I am not sure if there is a known issue but my brakes do seem to make low pitch groaning sound when turning and I have had a lot of squeaks. You should take it in and get it looked at.

I don't have a noise issue. Local dealer(Jackie Cooper BMW) checked and said it could be a battery issue, but it still shows random brake warning. Funny thing is when the brake warning is on, after right or left turn, the blinker doesn't turn off automatically. It shows even engine warning one time.

I really hope they can fix the problem this Thursday.

Finally, they found the problem. The problem is SZL (Steering Column Switch Sensor).

The report said "...fault 5E45 has happened 9 times, test plan said to replace szl. Have to order SZL!".

SZL issue with 135i, Well, I'm glad to find the problem.
