[SYD] Northern beaches meet 31/10/2009

Met up with JMH1983, Taymaishu and janus77 on saturday - was great meeting up with you guys, should arrange something again soon

Took some nice pics at palm beach, then gave my camera to tay who took some more. tay has a good eye for photography

I don't like thumbnails so this post will be pic-heavy. Please don't quote this post when replying, thx!

heh contrasts were bumped up quite severely in photoshop because stupid me left the hood off again. but yeah it was a great day, clear skies and a nice location

let me know if you want print-quality versions of any of them or if you want to see the rejects!

haha nothing to be embarrassed about, mine was dirtier you just couldn't see it because it's grey

Mine looks very nice and shiny

But that's cause I washed it about 10 minutes before leaving to meet you guys!

Have to do it again soon. The road out to West Head (did it yesterday afternoon) is completely repaved and is just so smooth - the smoothest road i've EVER driven on.

Should do a Royal Ntnl park run one weekend towards the Gong, they've retarred a bunch of sections on the 35km/hr corners, so nice.

Glad to have you aboard, and of course, more than welcome when we do some cruises. It seems we're getting a bit of a Northern Beaches Posse happening!

So we have another WRX to BMW 1 series convert (me included). There are so many of us around! Where on the beaches are you?

That would be mine... "space grey" is the official colour name

Definitely a good idea to wash your car before a meet, especially if someone's bringing a camera! Look at the 4th photo above of jmh1983 in front of his car; the reflections of the tree are actually higher contrast than the tree itself...

Heh, would you beleive i already have my baby back in for a re-buff ? after seing the few holograms on the hood and boot i spoke to Armin at A & M Hamadache detailing in Brookvale and he will at no charge rebuff the entire car at his suggestion before i even hinted at it.

Top guy, if anyone wants a really good full detail he charges $160 for a black car (costs more due to requiring a glaze) and gives the best job possible. He actually does all of Col Crawfords cars, i am guessing the dealer delivery first clean.

Ah...I read the Col Crawford thing and then saw that

I was about to think he did the Dealer-installed Swirl Marks!!!

Mind you, CC need to have a good detailer - considering 95% of their cars are left out in the lot overnight and in rain/hail/snow/hurricane. After the big dust storm, they didn't clean the cars for a week!
