Its only been one night but damn, driving around in a pontiac torrent loaner car will really break your spirit in a hurry.

My car is in for an oil change and a rear brake squeek once in a while and they decided I was getting new rear pads and sensor and none in stock

My SA is really cool and understands my driving dilema but is gonna get it fixed up today.

Done ranting!

If you ever think you are bored with your 1 series, go drive some of the other junk out there and you will be reminded how special these cars are!

It was very busy at the dealership yesterday. Usually he hooks me up with something turbo..335 535..

When I had my car in to have the HPFP replaced they gave me a 328. When I picked up my car later I told them the turbos in the loaner were broken.

A BMW dealership using Pontiacs? That's pretty lame. Do they ever think they'll rival Lexus service with that kind of thinking? I wouldn't mind if they offered me a Mini, buy I'd be pretty annoyed if they stuck me in an Aztek.

Its actually enterprise rent a car in the bmw service department but its considered a loaner because its free..

I guess they only have so many bmw loaners, usually I get something decent so I cant really complain. Last time was a brand new 60k 535i when my second fuel pump died!

I kinda enjoy the loaners they give me when in for service.

Reason - because each time it reaffirms that my 135 is the cream of the crop bimmer.

Already had as loaner:
X3 - blah....no soul
335 convertible - felt numb....not exciting or engaging to drive
328 coupe x drive - again, felt numb, dull, and heavy.

The 135 just feels so fun and deviant. It feels like it is on steroids and waiting to pick a fight with any passer by. Kinda like that bitter short 5'7" italian guy at the bar living with a Napoleonic complex.

At least they gave you something free! I once was given a taxi voucher when I had a jaguar after having driven 6 hours for service, I had a saturn Ion for a month when I had issues with a SAAB, so a "Torment" is not that bad of a vehicle, it will surely make you appreciate your 1er even more!

YOu miss yours? Dude I am Germany until mid-January stuck in a rental....the first car they gave me was a 116i....now that thing is entry-level...all that being said it still can go 100mph+ on the autobahn with no problem. The second car was a Mercedes C180...alright car I guess but def. not confidence inspiring as far as handling is concerned. Now my current car is a E90 320i...car handles pretty well...but the small engine has to be driven HARD to get any type of excitement whatsoever.....needless to say I MISS MY CAR!!!!

I got a kia once, wholly crap those things are aweful, they should pay people to drive them around. I know I'm dating myself, but my 1983 jetta tubo diesel ran better than the Kia and that thing had 80k on it.
