if its under $1000 you won't pay extras in taxes customs etc. i paid au$650 in extras for 2 sets of tyres costing me au$2600.

Franco, like BMW86 said if the total is less than AU$1000, then you don't really pay anything. That said a decent set of tyres will set you back a little bit more.
I got my Michelin PS2s from Tirerack.com for $1700 all up including shipping and about $350 in customs charges. Which is much less than the $800 per corner I was quoted here and got it in 4 days as opposed to the 3 weeks here! |

I have the OEM 18" M-double spoke 208 (I think that's the number).
I went for 225/40/18 all around, this setup seems to work a lot more for me and the handling is a lot more balance i.e. a lot less understeer! Also, the Michelins' have been amazing, would recommend them any day! |

Yeah I love the 208's look, only one I'd rather have is the BMWP 313s, which are pretty similar.
I found the square setup to work better, definite increase in balance. Try to go for the Michelins as well, they reallly are a great great tyre! |
