ASR 135 at the Top Gun run (178.7mph trap speeds in standing 1 mile event) - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Currently being held in Florida. The event is all about seeing how fast your car will be at the end of a 1 mile stretch. Starting from stand still. This is the big daddy of all power testing!

I just got word that the ASR 135 just did 178.7mph! By comparison, a GTR with full bolt-on mods did 174mph.

The 135 has the following mods:

Stg 3 mods
Meth injection
ASR upgraded turbos
Procede v4 @ 19psi

Just to make it clear, this is NOT a top speed run. This is just how fast the car is going by the 1 mile mark. To put this in perspective, this is faster than a C6 Z06 and only a few mph off a C6 ZR1. A stock Porsche 996tt does it in the 150s.

So 177mph is seriously fast for a car that is shaped like a top hat.

They have. They've sold several already. I'm currently waiting on their second batch myself. They just aren't vendors here.

I think they are closer to $5k. But you'll have to ask asr directly. I know they have been waiting for a couple of parts for a while. Which is what has been holding up the second production run.

No fuel system upgrade up to 470-480whp/18psi. Above that, we tuned it to
run methanol injection. We've testing that up to 530whp. Stopped there

530HP. Thats 2011 911 Turbo S territory.
911 makes 523HP & 516 lb-ft with overboost, 479lb-ft without.
How is this even possible with a 3.0 liter engine?

the meth was used to control IATs/knock since you were running leaner at 530whp (due to more boost) without a fuel system upgrade?
