Goodbye 135i photo shoot

I took a deposit on the car so decided to go and get some decent shots of the car before the new buyer picks it up. Went with a mate who is a wedding photographer - sure he is no Easton Chang but I think we ended up with some decent shots. Enjoy!

Bloody hell Jeff. You could have warned me that you'd be in my area. Those shots are taken in front of the Port Kembla steelworks coke ovens and on the disused railway lines next to Foreshore Road at Port Kembla harbour. You drove straight past my office on Old Port Road!

BTW congrats on the quick sale!

Nice shots mate. What tyres are they? And are they any good? I'm about to grab some new ones and thinking of the Dunlop Direzza star spec though not sure how they will go in the wet.

Yeah to be honest the equipment makes a MASSIVE difference. I would definitely like to play some more with the remove flash units, you can get some really cool effects going on.

The tyres are Toyo R888 semis (235/40/18). They have incredible grip for the street but are way more noisy than street tyres and wear out quickly. I've had the Dunlop Direzza star spec on this car in the past and was quite impressed. Very good grip and not as noisy as a semi slick. They are so dirt cheap from tirerack with the strong dollar too.

18x8 ET40 all round. They are the Ultraleggera model. If you stick to 235/40/18 you shouldn't have any problems with rubbing. The only chance for a problem would be on the front and that will depend on the tyre you use. If you have a problem just get the strut tops from Andrew @ SouthernBM - they look great and you get the added benefit of some -ve camber which will aid in cornering too!

This is on the boat from the UK at the moment. Will have 350+ hp in < 900kg when I'm done. It will be in a different league than anything I could hope for from the 135i.

Just wondering if you are planning on registering the lotus and if so do you see it as being difficult to do so as a grey import?

Compliance is available for UK import Lotus Elise / Exige for any models up to 04/2006 build. And yes, I will be registering it for road use (after it is complied).
