Any tips? Visor warning label removal

Hey everyone! I am trying to remove the warning labels on the visors. I have found the DIYs on here, but I am still having trouble. I am using goof off and letting it soak in for ~10 minutes, but these PITA stickers still won't budge.

Any tips?

Much appreciated. BTW its a 2008, don't know if that makes a difference.

I used 90% rubbing alcohol, soak a paper towel and laid it across the sticker for about 7-10 mins. The simply peel off the sticker and wipe clean. I removed my visor when doing this.

Acetone did marvels. Put enough on a cloth and rub the sticker, it will literally melt/unglue away, in less than a minute. Shouldn't affect the visor's vinyl. Just to be sure, I cleaned it with armor-all afterward. Did this a week ago and no sign of damages done. We are not responsible if that missing sticker kills a baby .

I used goof off - I think, I got it at Walmart. It was slow going but it came off. I had to take it off in small pieces after softening with goof off and then go back and take off some residue. But I got it off in half an hour or so. I took the sun visors out. It was only a couple screws and made it a lot easier. This also avoids risk of somewhat strong solvents going where you would not want them.

My visors seemed to expand a little from all this but after a couple days, they shrank back to about where they started. I am happy with the mod (the stickers look out of place to me on a nice car).

After reading the comments on acetone I would try that. I got a quart at the home center to clean little brushes of touch up paint.

I used goo-off.

-Take the visors out of the car
-Lay them flat on something not-important (cardboard, wood, etc)
-I used 1 paper towel piece per visor folded into quarters.
-Soaked the paper towels in goo-off
-Layed them on the stickers
-Placed a roll of duct tape on one and my car wax container on the other (This help penetration and prevents evaporation of the goo-off). Use something with moderate weight and a flat bottom to be sure the entire towel has pressure on it.
-After 5 mins I removed the paper towel and gently rolled the stickers off with my finger.
- i put some more goo-off on a towel and scrubed WAY TO HARD to get the extra little bits off. This caused the plastic on the visor to disconect from the solid part and look really wavy. Don't panic, after 2 days in my car the look perfect again, just needed time to dry and shrink. Just rub lightly.
-Should be pretty easy so long as the paper towels have weight on them. this is very important to keep the solvent in the goo-off in contact with the sticker.

You really can't use too much goo-off.

I used the 93% rubbing alcohol too. Took the visors out, soaked folded paper towel in some alcohol and just laid it on top of the stickers for 20 minutes. They peeled off pretty easy.

Instructions I read elsewhere also said after you remove the stickers you soak the spot again in paper towels and alcohol to help get off the residue from the stickers.

Problem I had is I couldn't reduce the still visible impression of where the stickers were, you can still see the outline, and I spent a lot of time with the alcohol scrubbing the spot. I don't think there is any residue left, I think it is just slightly melted vinyl. I believe they might apply some heat to the stickers to partially fuse them, or melt the glue.

anyone get the outline to go away?

Hey everyone! Thanks for all your responses. Just wanted to let everyone know I got these stupid stickers off, but for everyone wanting to do this with alcohol, make SURE it is 90%+. At first i used 70 and the sticker came off in patches.

Yea how do you get the faint outline where they where gone?

Yes. I still do have an outline. Is there anyway to get rid of this or make it less noticeable?

You might try one of the stronger solvents - like goo off. I think I used goo gone or something like that - I bought it at Walmart. When you wipe the visor with it you get a little black on the cloth or paper towel. So it is disolving the visor a little. I had no outline of the sticker when I was done and the visors look good. At first they seemed to have expanded a little where the solvent was on them but they shrank back to the original profile.
