Remove / install rearview mirror

So, I accidentally knocked my rear view mirror from my windshield, and it is now hanging by the wires that attach it. Does anyone know how to put it back on? I can't seem to get it to reattach.

I think you turn it 90'. There should be a round coin like thing (or puck) glued onto the windshield. Hold the mirror up to it at a 45' or 90' and "feel" where the feet slot into that "puck", then turn it down (clockwise) to the right.

I have never down it on my 1er, but thats how all other BMW mirrors install.
