Devout Muslim and LEGAL immigration
from what I understand devout Muslim's can only pedge allegiance to God. therefore they can never really become a legal US citizen. they will never be true to this country.

Pledge of Allegiance
When a muslim pledges allegiance to God he must practice the teachings of the prophet and the teachings in the quran. The teaching of the prophet say to engage in social activities and be a productive member of society. And do everything you can to help maintaint the healthy functioning of society. So a muslim can be a American. Most of the Muslims in America are people born in America that were formerly different religions.

There are Christian sects, such as Jehovah's Witnesses, whose religious beliefs prevent them from reciting the Pledge of Alligance. So are you going to strip them of citizenship too? Or do just target Muslims?

This actually brings up a valid point...No, wait, it doesn't. But it does REMIND ME of my thoughts on public schooling. You are essentially made to recite the pledge of allegiance in school (I know I was in High School when my family moved). Technically pledging your allegiance to a country you are not a citizen of would automatically condemn you to being a traitor. Food for thought...

I remember in junior high, my girlfirend/babysitter was Canadian. The first time we were at a school function together, she just remained seated during the pledge of allegiance. Later she showed me her green card. She showed me a few other Canadian "things" as well.
