I know it is a "fictional" movie based on historical facts. After I saw the movie, I did some research. I was so into the subject and read multiple unofficial sources claiming that it is based on what happened but "hushed" for.

Man, is this true? I know many countries (if not, all of them) does dirty stuff behind, but as I read more and more history related materials and all these confidential stuff, I'm having easier time understanding why so many people in the world hates America.

Though, I do agree to a certain extent that "freedom/peace" comes with costs... I'm sure shit like this happens everywhere but I'm just shocked again. I nearly see it this way. Terrorists attack us (like 9/11) without an "official" reason or evidence and we attack them with official bullshit evidence/reason.

My heart still belongs to democracy and supports the American way of keeping the world in one piece. Just a bit.. stirred.

Well thats part of the problem.

Seriously, I think Americans generally dont have the 'real' view of what goes on in the world. Much of the information seems to be 'spun' by CNN, Fox, etc.

Look at the recent 'discovery' of trillions of dollars worth of minerals in Afghanistan. This is a convenient excuse to keep the war going.

I believe it is more rue then not.

As far as the moon is concerned, wonder why no human has set foot on its surface for ~40 years. Kind of fantastic isn't it.

Humans first voyaged to the Challenger Deep in 1960 and have never returned - only two ROVs have made the journey since.

Yeah I read/watched many articles and films on this. I concluded that it was fake. How sad is this..

Not seen/read both, so can't comment on them

Did read a few books on the Iraq war, but they where either combat stories or stories from war zone contractors.

Just watched this movie. That is 116 minutes of my life I will never get back. That was a terrible movie.
