Crack in glass over instrument cluster? - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Just noticed it Saturday: about 1/4" crack in the glass over the speedometer and small cracks in seal that holds the glass in place. Anyone else have that? Will check with dealership later today about replacing it.

Never heard of that problem before - curious as to what your dealer says as to cause & resolution.

Yea, it's a small 1/4" crack and the seal feels like it has several cracks in it. Definitely something 'new' on the forum. Peculiar.

It's covered by warranty. Not sure as to the cause, but the service manager @ Kuni BMW said it is covered. Just need to get the part in and an appointment to take care of it. Kuni customer service rocks! I've never been disappointed with them.

thats great, its nice when the warranty you pay for actually covers thing!

Did they have to replace the whole cluster or can they do just the cover?
