Anyone near NYC area with a Procede 135i?
I am looking for someone near NYC with a 135i that has the latest Procede installed (with autotune), with very few to no other mods (upgraded intake only preferable). I have 4 cars in my family that all have the JB3 + DCI combo ( 2 x 2008 135i's, 2007 335i Sedan, and 2009 Z4 3.5 sDrive).....
I'm amused by all the tuner comparison BS that goes on here, and I've never 'experienced' a Procede car. I've read dozens of comparison, but really want to see for myself. So... if anyone out there that is local is willing to show me, it would be MORE than appreciated. I am in NJ 5 minutes outside of Manhattan. PM me! (FWIW, I am very happy with the JB3 and over the past 2 years, I have had 0 problems and all 4 cars are running Map 7 daily, summer through winter. Just want to see the other side) |

I'm running procede with the latest autotune but my car is a bit more modified than what you're looking for. You're more than welcome to check it out though, I'm located about 45 min north of NYC but am down in the city pretty often. Maybe at the next meet?

Got to check out a 6MT E92 Procede V4 car last week (also had afe intake and upgraded diverter valves). Power delivery (as a passenger) seemed smoother than JB3 for sure. But overall pull did not feel as hard. Yes, I wasn't driving, but I am comparing the pull to being a passenger in my JB3 2.0 135i. Granted, this car was a 6MT and a 3 series, vs my less hefty 135i w/ more aggressive gearing because its an automatic.
Not an apples to apples comparison by any means, but just saying... FWIW, I am borrowing a Procede V4 latest autotune and I am going to put it in my old (white) 135i that my mother is current driving. Then, I will do some runs vs my identical black 135i w/ JB3. Both cars are coupes with steptronic, so that will be a true apples/apples comparison that I don't think we've really seen. Will post videos to show all. Additionally, there is nothing I hate more than the whining babies on this forum going back and forth about jb3 vs procede.... I'm just saying... |

i would venture to say that both tunes are good .......and also it depends on how far you wanna take your car and to compare options that each have as they are different.. Me. i just want to have the tune and forget about it till i mash the gas pedal...As one who is just staying stock, except for the JB3, and will only be monitoring through my boost gauge engine wise,I opted for the JB3 and had it put in this week with the P3 Vent Boost Gauge... ...which i really like much more than the up and coming dash BG.. The P3 is like a big kids toy and it very very cool and matches OEM dash colors and contrast perfectly in the day and the night...and looks OEM quality fit..I am very happy so far..
