DSB is new for 2011 - I believe this is the answer to your question.

Are you sure about the second part of your statement? As far as I'm concerned DSB is only 2011 and up...I just purchased mine not long ago, and it's only about 4 of us on this forum with DSB cars. You'd think that if they had started selling the 2010 model in DSB there would be many more around.

I can't vouche as to when Monaco went away but I'm very positive that DSB was introduced for the 2011 model, which obviously is being sold during 2010 but it is still the 2011 model.

the 2011 models come with the optional 4.4ltr v8 from the 550i. it's a special order code and i think that you have to wait a little longer for delivery.

Whats the difference between these two? (besides color and navigation size)
They are both 2009 but one has the larger mirror and the other has smaller mirror.

That person must be mistaken about what year their car is. The bigger mirrors were added in the MY2010 to appease new german visibility legislation that began in MY 2010

A VIN check should confirm

Stereo options were different between the years, as well.

2008:
Base Stereo - 10 speakers and external amp; this was the mid-level stereo upgrade in the rest of the world and is known as Hi-Fi)
Harmon Kardon - upgraded Base Stereo speakers and amp with H/K parts (known as Top Hi-Fi)

2009:
Base Stereo - 8 speakers and head unit amplification (actual base stereo available in the rest of the world)
Harmon Kardon - 10 H/K speakers and external amp (Top Hi-Fi)

2010-2012:
Same as 2008 cars

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong!

My 2009 Base Stereo has 10 speakers. The 2010 has 8. The 2011 and newer went back to 10.
