I still don't understand why we can't put these fogs on our 135s. I'm pretty sure only half of the opening passes through to the brakes which means we could have both.

All show and no go
![]() The 120i engine is not good and probably the worst selling engine in the 1er range in Europe. This is just a marketing exercise. But I love the pearl white!!!

I sure can, however the center opening is the source for intercooler ventilation. Take a look at the right and left sides and you'll see what I mean. It's closed off on the portion where the fog lights would be.

The 120i (N46) engine is good. It is the most economical NA 2.0l I4 Gasoline engine. Why it doesn't sell is because the 120d is even more economical, and has much torque at low rpm, and better straight line performance, and thus is very nice for DD. But 120i sounds better than 120d and for a spirited driving on curvy roads, 120i is very nice. It is more fun than Audi 2.0 TFSI, which has good torque but some lag. And 120i is more economical than 125i, it also sounds very nice for a 4 cylinder engine, very close to the Clio RS NA 2.0l I4. It is possible to track the 120i and have quite some fun. Think of the 320si WTCC with 275 HP!

Quote:
+1 I don't see what's wrong with the 120i In Holland it sells better than the 125 or 135i. And since the 1 serie is a very popular company car, it will be mostly diesels and 116i's that are sold here. Add to that the prices of a new car here + the petrol prices, 125i and 135i are crazy expensive so the 120i is not a bad choice at all. A 135i coupe with some nice options easily hits 60k Euro.
