So some may remember I bought a CPO 135 and it had several problems from Day 1.

I traded the car in. (taking a loss).

Owned it, drove it... I didn't return it... didn't roll it back... took a loss...

And now it's on their site (no longer CPO) as a Certified 1 Owner car.

I'm not sure how posting this here will help any potential buyers, but it definitely reinforces the "used car salesman" stereotype.

That sucks, but that's why you don't trust car sales people. Unfortunately someone else will get suckered into it and end up in the same boat you were.

About the only thing you really could do is notify BMW NA and the local BBB, but I doubt anything will come from either.

CPO warranty stays with the car even after the second owner, however it can no longer be sold/advertised as CPO. Sucks that they're trying to sell it as a 1-owner car tho... How long did you have it, and did you own it long enough to title/register the car?

Yes it was titled and reg'd. I had it long enough to get the stickers.

But the car was actually at the dealership more than it was with me.

It may be a car fax glitch. carfax shows the car sold again but still lists it as 1 owner.

It could also be that the dealership is not updating the service record...

I think it might take some time for it to show on CarFax, but then again... CarFax can be pretty useless since it can only pull up information reported to DMVs
