Now we can tell you what happened with the 1M Coupe when it was taken from us. They replaced the headlight with a conventional 135i headlight so you would not see the LCi changes. To do so would take away some attention that the regular 1er is getting refreshed and in some cases would take precedent over the 1M.

Now that the LCi is very much undergoing public testing on the streets of Munich , expect to see the photographs of the LCi models on Bimmerpost quite soon.
Hence why we have now brought attention to the fact that the car is about to be refreshed.

The 1M is now on it's to the UK. Some news on that shortly.
So, you are treating the 1M like a garden gnome?

OT: Is there really a market for a X4? I like the look, but not sure if I can gel with the concept.

Now we are talking. I am new to the forum and always wanted to get a 1 series, but for one reason or another had not gotten there. The 1M seems like the ideal opportunity to join the club, but I am hearing more and morre it will be hard to get one of this due to limited production. From what people in the forum have heard so far about this car and their own experiences, is it worth the wait or should I just go ahead and get me a 135?

Hard to say because the technical specifications and pricing for the 1M are still guesswork at this point. But based on the best guesses (330-340HP N54 engine, $45-47k base US MSRP) and the visual and suspension upgrades, is it worth it for you?

You won't get a unanimous answer on the forum, it just comes down to your situation. Do you need a car right now or can you wait? Is it worth the extra money for the 1M over the 135? Are you willing to play the "limited production" game?

The thing that I would point out is if you hold out for a 1M and either can't get one or change your mind and decide it's not worth it, you can always get a 135 in a few months. Not so much the other way around unless you're willing to take a major financial hit.

no, of course not I wear glasses.

I am pleased to finally announce that selected journalists have gotten behind the wheel of the BMW 1M Coupe and you will be finding their first drive reports in a final prototype model appear early next week.

so you will get an impression of the new 1M Coupe.

I'm facing a similar decision. I have a 335xi now and plan to go down a size (and back to rear-wheel drive) and get a 1-series. I'm intrigued by the 1M and have put down a refundable deposit, but still undecided about whether it will be worth it (not thrilled with the colors, the engine may not be much of an upgrade, and am concerned it might wind up looking a little boy-racerish). I'm waiting to learn more about it, and the upcoming prototype test drives might help. If I decide not to, I'll just get a 1 for less money. Don't think I can go wrong either way. May not decide until its time to put in the order.

Nope.

You see Baudouin Denis, General Manager Marketing BMW France. He unveiled the car, because the unveiling took place in France.

And, sorry, the car is not on it's way to the UK.

All good point Spider and I guess as you say I can always get a 135 and I am not in a hurry to get a car, so it makes sense for me to wait and see. This does look like a very cool car.

So they are already taking deposits for it? I am sure dealers are eager to get this hyped up and enjoy some more pricing power. Does the deposit guarantee you access to one?

Look forward to the review. 1M coupe is looking good. The curves so much reminds of the E46 M3. Loving it.
