E90 Side Grill Help

I tried the screw driver/tape/towel and its not coming out. Not risking chipping the paint. Can this be done be taking the tire and wheel liner out? Any other ideas? thanks

I had to take my front wheels off...the passenger side is a bitch wiper fluid container is over there and it spilled all over getting it out haha
