Arrow Scoop : 1M Coupe LCi (Life Cycle Impulse) Shows M3 Mirrors and Rear Spoiler

Within the confines of Garching, you can see the 1M Coupe through the gates showcasing the latest LCi changes around the rear and front headlights. You can also see how the profile of the 1M Coupe especially at the front is more pronounced than the 135i Coupe. And yes you see the M-Mirrors (from the M3) for the first (or second) time.

Of course it is not the only interesting thing in this photograph.
If you look closer you can see a certain skirt blow up especially with her Monte Carlo Blue skin being evident for the first time.

I suppose we're not suppose to contrast the presence of a Monte Carlo Blue 1M Coupe and your previous comment that no blue would be offered?

Also, any chance that Z4 sitting to the left has any ///M DNA?

That sure is a nice color!

It's pretty sad we won't be allowed to have it.

Dare I say it, but does that look like a hood bulge?

Scott does make an oblique reference to the front profile.

Edit - Ok on second glance I'm blind.

The MC blue is nice, would look great on a 1SMC!

Hood bulge and ducktail looking good!

south says the blue one is an M5.

BTW, is this the first time we're seeing a rear duckbill?

A little better view. The bulge might just be because of the low camera angle...

Been looking at that hood over and over.. definitely think I see a bulge, although it looks slightly further forward to me than I would have expected. Probably the camera angle screwing with us, along with suggestion from Scott's post and of course our own fervent prayers for an M3 like bulge

I think also the Monte Carlo M5 in the picture is a really mean tease intentional or otherwise! Looks beautiful, even just the glimpse of it - such a stunning colour. I hope the 2014's will have a Monte Carlo option. That would be gorgeous!

I get what you're saying about it being forward, but man, it just looks beefier up there. Who's to say it has the SAME bulge as M3? Could be a redesign, no? Isnt a bulge on an M3 to accomodate different engine and different cooling? It has function.
Can anyone think of why the new (speculated) engine might need a larger hood near the front?

Cooling.

Same reason Z4 iS is rated for 15 more HP than 335iS.

Well, you can forget all that. The new car is fitted with a turbocharged straight six. Turbocharging? In an M car? That’s like putting gravy on an ice cream.

You must be joking.
The only reason there would be a "power dome" on this car would be to appeal to those who feel bad bc they can't afford a true M car.
This is just a normal 135i with wider fenders, m3 side mirrors, m3 rims, m3 differential, and m3 brakes.

Yet, they call it a "///M Pure."
Pure because it has some left over parts from an M car, or "pure" because it has a relatively low redline, forced induction, and the same engine as a non-m.
