hmm. would look cool in a color, but im still not convinced they do anything. in fact, i took my covers off the other day. thinking about putting them back on. not noticing a difference in noise.

Can you tell me more about that closed AFE intake? Only ones I see on your site are the open ones w/o a top cover...

We're creating the system right now actually. Mike of **********s has the only kit right now but it wasn't completely done. You see Mike's car is the test car for all the aFe Products.

The moment we get more information I'll release it!

I just picked this up yesterday and installed it. Bought them from Kevin who was great and I can tell their products are good. I also have the AFE dual intake, 40mm headlight film and the City Vision Lighting 6 LED H8 bulb for the Halo's which is a little bluish and compliments xenon's very well and no control light! I will definitely recommend Kevin and will contact him in the future.

It wouldnt make enough of a difference worth pulling a dyno. The numbers may be around 2-3whp max, maybe a lil bit of torque, but most of those gains if any would be at 40+mph due to the higher amount of air flowing. The macht schnell scoops are around the same construction, they claim it gains a few hp, etc. at 70+mph. So really, you wont see much, but it will allow a little more air into the manifold, that doesnt hurt. But if you have an open/DCI this wont do a thing.

Would these air scoops add any significant increase air flow to a stock system? Or would it be only a marginal improvement?

Take a look at the construction of the MS scoops in comparison also. The MS scoops have a butter-smooth inside finish for 100% air movement. These have cut edges which I would think would slow down and/or buffet the incoming air a bit.

These arent all huge ass differences here, mainly just all the reasons for which I would go with MS over aFe, honestly the hat, key chain, etc. doesnt give me reason to go with them.

It's called competition, and it brings out the best. Those do appear to be a superior product at a better price.
