auto tranny shifted itself DS

I just got dp's installed. Im running jb4 g5, dci, 93 octane. This is the first time i run map 2 with dp's on. The car feels powerful. but there's a small problem. When im in DS manual mode, traction controll off, WOT 1st gear, the car shifted itself at around 6700 rpm and i felted a quick light stumble. However, if i launch WOT at 2nd gear, everything was smooth, i can shift it manually. This only happen at 1st gear launch. dont know why...

This is normal. It will also shift 2nd to 3rd if you hit the rev limiter with authority, and drop a gear if you pin it in manual and you are in too tall of a gear. In short, the ECU is keeping you from busting your car.

That is the rpm the auto tranny will shift at. You also want to shift no later than 6100 to stay in the powerband with stock turbos

^1, you have no power to be had up there, instead you're just generating heat.

+2 on the lower shift point, you can pick up a few tenths with no other change.

yeah i have read about the lower shift points. its not that i really wanna shift at 7k, but rather checking if my tranny is not messed up. bc these youtube videos showed their car almost hit 7k before 2nd gear. haha just worrying a little
