Official 1 Series M Coupe Basic Specs - 335hp / 332 lb-ft tq / 0-100kmh 4.9 sec
The car is revealed at midnight (DE).
Are you excited ? Power: 340ps/335hp Top speed: 250km/h 0-100km/h: 4.9s Torque: 450Nm (332 lb-ft) Nm +50Nm (+37 lb-ft) overboost Weight: 1570kg (EU)(w/ gas, luggage, driver) Price: approx. 50.500 EUR I have seen some internal results , leaves the TTRS for dead in driving dynamics and overall enJOYment. And runs close to the Cayman S. (Cayman R might be a different story , though) It does not matter if you do not get an opportunity to drive this car in the real world. If you can dream about it and own the Sony Playstation 3 , you can drive the car in the virtual world. The 1M Coupe will be offered in the near future as a special download for Gran Turismo 5.

Ok. I have owned an M3 and now a 335i. I have my own reasons for the change but let me tell you, the M3 is a totally different beast! I got Procede, IC, DCI, DP, OCC, ... and the 335i can blow the M3 out of the water but there is nothing like driving an M3 that puts a big smile on my face. If all you are looking for is power, get a light body and big ass engine and go pull 7s in the quarter mile. 135i + aftermarket mods will not equal the 1M. Anyone who has ever owned an M will agree.

1570 kilos = 3,461lbs
That a lot heavier than we were all lead to believe and quite a disappointment. My non-sunroof E46 M3 probably weighs less with its iron block engine. |

If I recall correctly, that reported European weight includes luggage and a full tank of gas, so there could be 150lbs+ extra there.

By the way, if the 50,500 Euro price includes the 19% MwSt. then that means that it could be possible that C/D estimate of an USA $43,000 MSRP will be correct.
If the MwSt. is not included in that Euro price then this sucker will be in the $49,000-52,000 MSRP range... |

Not so excited
From the early spec this car was suppose to be in the mid 300hp even close to 360ps and be lot lighter than the 135i. Futhermore, for the price issue I am totally in if the car would have new parts but now it's only using existing parts m3 diff, suspension, seats, z4 35is engine nothing new except the body kit so I dont think it's justify an 10000 euro extra. I just cancelled my order on a 135i in order to put my deposit on a 1M but now I start doubting.

135i is 1530kg EU so yes it weights more...not suprising though. extra sheet metal, diff, more cooling, bigger rims/tires. sounds about right.

Do I spy some sort of shade of blue in that avatar of yours? Looks like it could be Jerez Black?
