here´s a nice Project from an German Forum Member. He and his Team build a 1´Series Hill Climb Racecar !Here are a few Spec´s (german): Reglementgrundlage:Art 277 Anh. J ISAG , Gruppe E1,Motor: Judd V8 , KV 675 , 3400 ccm , ca. 550 PS Getriebe (Transmission): Hewland TMT , Transaxle , Magnesiumgehäuse , Drexler Antriebswellen Kupplung(Clutch): 5.5 Zoll 3 Scheiben Carbon , gezogen , aktiv geregelt Schaltung(Gearbox):Megaline – Lenkradschaltung Fahrwerk(Chassis): 4 x Doppel Dreiecks-/Querlenker , Anlenkpunkte in Zelle integriert , KW – Suspension Dämpfer , 3-fach verstellbar, Verwendung bisheriger Magnesium Radträger/ZV-System Räder (Wheels): einteilige BBS Magnesium Schmiederäder VA 10x18 , HA 10.5x18 Bremsen(Brakes): Sicom Carbon/Keramik Scheiben ohne Innenbelüftung , Teves 4-Kanal Renn-ABS Elektronik: ECU M880 , Display , Logger , Powermodul , alles Motec Karosserieteile: Flossmann Carbonanbauteile , geschlossener Unterboden , L/D > 2:1 , ca . Tnx for the shot, it's performant enough & pics are just for demonstration. if you want HighRes Pics or Videos, wait until we are finished with the race car to have enough time for web usability. It is a race car project, not a sales web site.

F1 Judd V8 Powered 1 Series
If some of you haven't seen this car yet, here's a peak into this monster.
Skip to the 5:40 to see the unvieling. (key people such as company owners and top management where present from BMW, KW, etc.) Their website is http://134judd.de/ George Plasa has been responsible for the creation and driving of his previous vehicle - Judd V8 powered E36. There are many videos on YouTube of this past car. Some may ask why do such a modification to a vehicle. Which would be natural, the simple answer it's cost effective and gains are worth the effort. Some may be scratching your head how would that be. But in the lifespan of the vehicle, one would go through many conventional motors, turbos, rebuilds, contineous R&D to extract more HP from their current setups. Soon this becomes a never ending process year after year. Go route of the extreme from the beginning - which is allowed in the Unlimited Class and be able to concentrate more efforts into other areas. Done right, the motor shall have an extended lifespan considering it's type of racing - "Hill Climbs" The car isn't on longer then a few minutes to complete the course. |

He's one terrible driver though..at least on a race track...was taking terrible lines through most corners it seemed...the car sounds amazing though!

Hearing that exhaust note I would normally expect an F1 car to come into view but instead I see a 1-series. Love it.
That steering wheel looks like it's going to come off at anytime though.
