Can't quite figure out Auto High Beams
The Manual says to put your lights in position 3 (auto), then briefly pull the turn signal stock to the high beams. At this point the high beams should be engaged, and will disengage when the sensor picks up lights in the opposite direction. Am I missing something?

It says a symbol is supposed to light on the dash showing its activated. I'm not getting that indicator at all

Me either. The high beams activate, but no light on the dash. But I've only tried it in the garage (cause I just got the car), not on the road, so I don't know if it's working. Still, seems to me there should be some indicator that it's active.

Well in the garage the lights are just going to bounce off the wall and reflect back into the light sensor and thus shut them off. Let me know how it works on the road.

The symbol that should come up on the dash is an A within a normal high beam signal. You either flicked the stalk twice to manually engage high beam, or you have the feature switched off.

It's an option. Not sure if it was available in 2008.
BTW: the OP says you "pull" the stalk, but IIRC, you actually push it away from you.
