Order Timeline/Breakdown - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Hi,

I placed my order with the dealer on 14 Jan for

2011 128i Space Gray Metallic, Coral Red
Conv. Package,
Sport Package,
Premium Package,
Steptronic with Paddle Shifters
Heated Front Seats

Got the production number and the online tracking says
"Start of Production". I also checked with 1-800 and the rep told me that the production started on 20 Jan with est prod completion of 29 Jan. When do I get the VIN, at the start or end of production? How long am I looking at from the end of production to arrival at the dealership? Does anybody have a time breakdown of the wait?

VIN number is available for your car, ask your dealer.

dang congrat! I made my order on Dec,5th and it got on production just week ago.. man I waited more than a month for starting production.. I really hate waiting another month.....

Thank you all for the replies, I just got my VIN today! Its been exactly a week today since my 1er started production. Wonder when will the system say production finished.

apboogiedown: My dealer had already placed an order much sooner than 14 Jan, they just changed the configuration to what I wanted on the existing order since it was still not under production. Thats how I got lucky!
