We are happy to share with our members the first real life photos of the 1M coupe in black sapphire metallic! After the first glimpses via Playboy (reposted below), many of you have been waiting for a real life photo look at the darkest 1M color. Although these are only two angles, more will surely be forthcoming as a black 1M is said to be on display at BMW Welt beginning March 2nd.

If you don't like the wheels, don't worry. The black 1M coupe will come with the standard 1M wheels you've seen on the white and valencia orange models.

She looks amazing!! Perfect color for those who want a slightly more understated yet still aggressive look to their 1M.

The fenders absolutely "pop" on the black 1M

Haven't seen fenders look like that since E46 M3.

It doesnt look very wide in BSM, AW is the best to give this effect IMO

I tend to disagree. The way light can play off a reflective black surface can sometimes give off the best impression as to shape and depth.

Sorry but the black wheels are hideous.

Don't think black hides the details too much, a lot less that I thought it would and agree with Jason that the fenders still look WIDE!

Makes it look like a cop car.

Looking forward to more BSM pics with regular wheels and clear indicator lenses.

AW gives the best impression of a Wider body in the pics, and VO best gives the curves/lines. but if the three colors r seen in person next to each other, i might reconsider that

Body color = great
Wheel color = bad

Thanks for sharing!!! BSM is the only color I really want, I'm still hopeful that I can get one.
