Thanks for your reply. I'm on OEM wheels and suspension - no plans to go with wider non-runflat tires and only the slight possibility of going to BMW Performance Suspension in the future.

I think I'll try 12mm (or maybe 15mm per email from Burger Tuning) in the back to go with 12mm in the front.

Thanks Bob. I'm completely stock (and plan to stay that way for a while yet), so hopefully 12mm out back will be good. I've had Burger Tuning suggest as wide as 15mm in back as acceptable with stock wheels / suspension.

This is my setup: front spacers 12mm, rear 10mm + KW V3 coilovers. Everything working fine, no rubbing. Agree too, OEM wheels are good looking for me.

I've ordered 12mm and 15mm, was going to go with 12 front, 15 rear... but after reading, it seems like you can go with wider at the front? So maybe Will go with 12 rear and 15 front... Hmmm. I will post pics when done! Also, it's on an otherwise stock suspension/wheel setup.

I have 12mm in back and 10mm front from Burger and I love them. Not over the top looks wise, subtle but a much better stance. Handling is also improved.

Hey guys.

I eventually chose 15mm front and 12mm rear spacers from BMS for my '11 135i with stock M Sport wheels / suspension. After some spirited driving, not indication of rubbing in front or back. Pics are posted here.

Sorry to revive this but it's better than filling up the forum with junk duplicates I guess.

For those of you who are lowered on Eibach Pro or more with 255's, did you get serious rub with 12mm+ in the rear? I am considering a square 12mm setup, does that extra 4mm on the rear axle (vs 10mm) make THAT much difference?

i run 255 nitto invos on the rear with 10mm spacers lowered on eibachs, and it rubs a little over dips.

Not to mention resale. A lot of dealers won't touch a car with aftermarket wheels, I found out. At the very least one should hold onto the OEM's instead of selling them.

Also, how heavy could aluminum spacers be? Many cars could benefit from the wider stance visually even if there was a minute degradation of performance. Especially vs larger heavier aftermarket wheels (unless one wants to drop thousands on them).

Is your car on the stock suspension? Any Rub Issues? Sorry I just got a 135i and I am a total noob still. I ordered the same set up but I am asking because I am afraid of rub when I lower my car with the Dinan Performance Springs which is a 0.5" drop.

Sorry to bring this thread back... And this might be a stupid question... But why would anyone put wider spacers in the front than the rears? That seems like it'd be awful for traction and performance??

Seems like you would always want the rears to be wider?

The 135i already has an offset Front/Rear Track ratio.

FRONT TRACK
4 ft. 10.3 in. (58.3 in.)

REAR TRACK
4 ft. 11.6 in. (59.6 in.)

Say you add spacers.. Front 15mm = .59in and Rear 10mm = .39in

New measurements would be

Front - 58.89in
Rear - 59.99in

That lessens(marginally) the Front and Rear ratio of the width of the wheelbase. Rears are still wider and you have a wider track all around. Win/Win.
