///1M Mods

Given we are all sitting and waiting for our cars, I thought I might start a thread for Mods.

Here's my suggestion for a group buy.

Any other suggestions?

Alpine - How do I transfer pictures from another site as you have done here. I saw these pics on Bimmerpost. Would be good to add all the pace car pics to this thread.
I know you could do it, just explain how to me pls.

Wouldn't mind a version of the front splitter, if only to save the front from scrapes.

Other noteworthy items I spotted on that car were;

Splitter nah
///M logo on calipers
Black side repeaters
Exhaust
Semi Matt painted wheels
Alcantara Steering wheel
Recaros
Roll cage

I think my wife (it's her car) would really appreciate all that stuff when she drives it to work daily... hahahaha

Looks good mate. Still waiting to hear and see the final production exhaust. If I am not happy with it , will pay our friend a visit at Hi-Tech Exhaust for a custom job.

Good idea Zuzu, maybe they will have to do a Special order given that the system will have to differ, for obvious reasons from the 135i system.

This is short but sweeeeet.

I am interested - you reckon it's worth it? If anything that would be pretty much my only mod for now. Those brakes looks good too.

I can tell you based on what I have seen on the M3. I've never owned one, but prof have had two done on two separate M3s. So this is based on me having been his cars a couple of times and his view. To me, it sounds like a race car with the full system. I love it! However prof said it drones. His view is that the muffler only would be the way to go.

Having said that, we are talking about a V8, not a twin turbo 6 cylinder. But Akra being the company it is, no doubt it will be first rate. The quality is second to none, and it's very light as it is titanium. Go check out southernBM's YouTube video of their first ever Akra install on Prof's M3 when Prof introduced them to Akra. It looks magnificent. Really does. On the basis of the quality, I would say it's worth it.

I really do like the look of the Akra system here and there stuff in general looks gorgeous. Love the red logo on the tips - all about the details.

I was M3 with one and it sounded amazing, really throaty and raspy - really brings out the notes of the V8. Bit too much for a daily driver in my opinion - as Way pointed out. Way, I'm waiting to hear it on WW's car when it finally gets up here, that thing looks to be quite a bit of fun!

In general there's some really interesting bits on the pace car, really curious to hear it and also see it in action. Must be a dream to drive around the track. Wish they did a diffuser to better integrate the exhaust tips - only thing that bugs me about the standard car. Really like the brakes and side repeaters too, would look awesome on AW.

For me - the car will have mainly stock engine as there's enough power and I want to keep as much throtle response as possible. I like to drive hard and prefer to be stealthy so the exhaust will stay quiet to avoid attention. Anything to sharpen up the steering and suspension response will be considered. Maybe uprated bushes. Oil catch can. Separate set of 18" lightweight race wheels with comp' tyres. Keep the standard wheels/tyres for daily use. I have a good garage set up and can swap wheels in 25 mins.
Oh, and a wooly steeing wheel cover, rear parcel shelf knitted doily and dangly crystals for the mirror.
