I was just driving down a windy ramp inside a parking structure and could hear a can rattling sound outside my window. Sounds like it's coming from underneath the car behind the front wheel.
Is this the dreaded waistegate rattle? Or is that only for N54 engines? I only hear it on this ramp and not at any other time. Could be the chassis creaking. May have to visit a dealer. |

Another thing I discovered was that the design of the center arm rest actually has a few purposeful designs. One I believe it sits low to keep people from driving with their hands in the "wrong" positions i.e. both hands not 10 & 2 ish. Also, probably more relevent in 6MT, is the fit. If you place your arm on the arm rest you'll find your arm fits in the "grove" on the left of it. This will also line your arm/hand up with the shift lever. If it were higher you'd have to reach over the armrest, kinda of like having any cup/water bottle in the cup holders. And yes I too now realize the friggin window controls are too far back. I would actually prefer they were center console like my 325 was. Heck put a small set of buttons on the steering wheel like the audio buttons.
