Hello All,
I just put down a dep. on a black 1M. Words can't describe my anticipation! I have never owned a BMW and was planning on getting a 2012 335i Coupe. Then my dealer told me to look into this car... yep this is the one for me. 1K later and I am #1 on the list..... NICE!

I'm guessing if he steered you away from the 335i he's pretty confident in getting at least one 1M allocation. Did he have any details on allocation, timing of production number/production/delivery? Thanks in advance!

The only info the dealer gave me was that I am #1 on the list to get one. He may have only one allocated to him, but it's good to hear #1 anyway. Aug/Sept was his estimate for delivery (which will be in Greenville, SC for the Performance Driving School delivery option I am going for. I have a feeling it will be sooner than Aug.

Let us know when you actually BUY the car or at least get an actual allocation.

Well when you post a thread that says "I bought a 1M in black!," and all you have is deposit with no allocation number or anything. I mean it's hard to get excited about this. You should be posting in the deposit thread.

LOL.. I'm not here to rain on your enthusiasm.. at the very least.. you have the wrong tense... bought = past tense. Since the vehicle has not yet been purchased... Indeed, bought is not correct.

I think I'm in the same boat with pixelguy...I plunked down my deposit last week, and while it doesn't necessarily mean I bought the car (there's plenty of paperwork that will eventually get me to that point), I'm pretty darn excited. Even if I do think there is a *chance* that my dealer won't get a car for my deposit (I've even directly asked him this question).

I almost feel like it's the few weeks between when your wife finds out she's pregnant and when you tell everyone...just to be sure. Until I have the keys in hand, I'll keep this one mum.

Yeah I'm excited for you too! I'm número UNO on my dealer list with a deposit put down in October 2010 1000$ and my allocation will not be until October 2011!! So you can see how some of us here are a little sore with BMW and not to excited to hear of new deposits. Good luck to you and speedy delivery.

Going black, I was in London last week and was able to see the VO and black in person.

Well, I'm not sore. I have my AW coming in two weeks. I apologize if I came across a bit cynical. Its just that many people here put a deposit down and at the end got screwed by their dealer either by a markup or something another. I just think its premature and the title to the thread is misleading. I'll save my congratulations till pixelguy physically gets his car. I'll be extremely happy for him like I am for all of those who got their cars.
