My brakes started squeaking recently too. Were you able to get them to replace the pads and sensors replaced within warranty?

Have you tried rebedding in the pads properly?

No mention of the serpentine belt... Is there a particular mileage/time to have it replaced or is it just based on inspection for wear/age?

I've found a few recommendation saying to change the belt, tensioner and pulleys at 60k. Mine started to squeal and the bearings in the tensioner started to go bad at 63k... Just replaced everything this past weekend. I assume the life/mileage is the same on the 128i.

I've seen a bit of discussion on this topic as the cars get older. Here is my general maint. plan:


Oil and filter: 5,000 to 7,500 miles (max)
Air filter: 2 yrs or 30k mi
Coolant: every 2 years or 24k mi.
Brake Fluid: 2 yrs
Cabin Charcoal Filter: 3 yrs or 30k mi.
Gearbox (MT)/Differentials: 30,000 miles
Water pump, tstat, rad cap: 4 yrs or 48k (every other coolant flush)
Spark plugs: 60-75k (non-turbo) and for turbo @ 30-45k for n54, 55-60k for n55
Auto Trans Flush & Fill: 60k mi.
Fuel filter: 30,000 to 60,000 miles (it's in the fuel tank)
Power steering fluid: 60,000 miles
Belts and Hoses: 75-100k

Walnut Blast: n54 45k and n55 as needed if needed?
