you know how much adjustability it will give?
How tight of a fit is it? I assume it won't be able to wiggle around, right?

No wiggle at all, and it will be held in by the stock strut studs, dunno how many degrees it adds, it's about a quarter inch. basically people dremel or elongate the holes on their cars now to add more camber without camber plates, now this is a template that adds material to prevent any ripping or damage.

Andy, they're on my car. So, we know what my camber is. (-1.5 deg)
Dave and I put the M3 bits on my car today, along with these reinforcement plates. It took about 5 minutes to install these plates. I gotta say, the fit is amazingly precise. Everything that Dave had to cut out around is a very consistent gap, and the slots, alignment pin hole, and center hole are dead-exact. His bolt slots would allow for about another 1/4" beyond what I wound up slotting, so on a lowered car, like mine, it would equate to about -2 deg, with no camber plates. Dave took some shots. Since they contain a very clear view of my VIN, I asked that it get masked before posting. So, Dave, if you have problems getting that done, let me know, and I can take some, mask my VIN, and post 'em for you. |

Btw, the m3 bits only gave me .25 of added negative camber (to -1.75 deg). I was expecting more. Camber plates will be on the way once Eddy hooks me up, and they should still work with these plates that Dave made, for added tower rigidity. |

Change for a Nickle?

Andy, the plates don't buy you any additional camber. At the same time, they won't keep you from doing anything that will add camber. They are just there for reenforcement at the top of the strut. Install is removing the three strut nuts dropping on the plate and putting the nuts back on. Do one side at a time. With the weight of the car on the struts, taking the nuts off and putting them right back on won't impact your alignment as long as you don't bump or lean on the car excessively hard.
