BMW Classic Warehouse "MobileTradition" Meet Munich *56k*
Servus,
today we did the BMW "MobileTraditon/Classic" Meet in Munich. Perfect Weather, perfect People and PERFECT CARS!!!  We are getting the Chance to see this "non Public" BMW Warehouse with the finest Stuff Munich ever build. This Pictures are not structured and without any Infos about the Cars... Dackelone was there too, but hes now in his Hotel  . I think he did a "writeup" when hes back home.There are some Special Cars in there (besides M1´s, 635CSI and every Winning Racecar), a V16 7 Series and the X5 V12 LeMans. So, here are some "special pics" because iam dumb and i promissed a german Forum Member

BMW Mobile Tradition ie: the secret museum…
BMW’s Mobile Tradition (mT) says they are NOT a museum. Don’t call them a museum, because in their mind they are not! What they say is that they are a clearing house for BMW classic cars. ALL the cars you see in this place are running examples of BMW heritage. Classic BMW’s to BMW’s glory years. Mobile Tradition – pronounced like “Mobil” one oil, and NOT like a cell phone is called in the UK. The “e” in Mobile is silent. mT is a place where classic BMW’s are stored before heading out to BMW car shows, special events or classic old timer events all over the world. BMW cooperates with MB, Porsche and Audi to participate in all the big name car events all over Europe and the World. The mT is also the place where you can have BMW AG restored an old BMW model for you. And btw… IF you have to ask how much does that cost… you don’t have enough money for that! lol Our tour guide explained to us that there would be no 328 cars on display today since this weekend BMW had a big concurs car show down in Italy: Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Our guide also explained that mT is a place where BMW keeps its one off’s. The BMW Museum across the street from the Welt is to showcase BMW production cars… while mT houses “some” of BMW one off skunk works models. My two favorite secret projects upstairs was a seven series with a V16 engine(!) and the X5 LeMans v12 racer. But sit back and enjoy the ride folks. We will see those cars in a moment! Marco (Comar1979) helped setup this awesome event! It all started when Marco went to the BMW Museum and struck up a nice conversation with a BMW tour guide there. One thing led to another and good contacts were made. Normally BMW does not let the public into mT. Rather BMW chooses YOU to come here! Not everyone can come! I am just glad we passed their “test”. Bellow are my photos of this fabulous place. The cars on display at mT change dailey. Never is this place left static. It is constantly fluid. Cars leave for one event and are coming back from another. Even while we were there – we witnessed the arrival of one such (car) delivery. Many thanks to Marco for making such a once in a lifetime event possible! Dackel mT building…  Long and short wheel base Iseta’s…  Located next door to the mT is BMW’s FIZ (FIZ = BMW’s R&D test center/Zentrum)… this is also where “Werk Zero” is located.  Inside mT…  Gift shop…   One small jewel in the mT lobby...  BMW’s (many)treasures that await us inside...  Remember…  325iX e30…    The restoration shop can be seen behind the glass windows…  4.5 Bar of turbo boost!           Eight series cabrio…       Looking back into the mT lobby…  Treasures of BMW’s past… in the dark…       A GogoMobile scooter which became Glas which later became BMW owned…     Up one floor… OMG!    California CHP’s…       The oldest BMW in the collection…             It just keeps going on and on and on…       Does anyone know where this factory is located? The tour guide seemed to think it was no more. ???      scooter…               DIXI bicycle…    Popout fog lights...          CF artwork...               Simply gorgeous!     A look back…  The next room…         Electric e30…    Electric e36…     One of my favorite cars I saw that day… Skunkwerks 7er…  6.4L v16 engine!!! 680 PS w/manual tranny!  Extra cooling routed to the trunk radiators…   Cooling fans…                James Bond cars…    7er is driven from the back seat via some video cameras mounted in the side mirrors and center grille.  Brake and steering extensions to the rear seat…  Burning rubber during the filming…          //M1…         Some crazy paint on this 7er…         Z1…        One last look at this floor… Next floor… Renn Autos!     OMG-II!!!!!!!  This is what heaven looks like!   X5 LeMans powered by a McClearen v12 monster…            Our tour guide told us Hans Stuck drove this thing around the Ring at a lap time of 7:34 min!!! Unbelievable!!              McClearen F1…               Three of the crown jewels that were down in Italy…            Love the custom front lic plate holder!     State of the Art – back in the day…                    O-Fest 1M…                                         NOT your typical four banger…                        And some of the cool cars we saw that day on the streets of Munich… New 6er vert… BMW plates…  Prototype 1er (F30)…  Prototype 3er (F20) behind us...  Frozen black Mini...  A cool advert on BMW private grounds...  FIZ… (FIZ = BMW’s R&D Zentrum) this way…  X5 service car…  Dackel |

Absolutely outstanding. The regular museum is truly great, but that is just over the top. That V16 7 series  and of course the gorgeous, incredible, and if I am not mistaken to this day fastest NA production car, the McLaren F1. |

BMW was secounds Away building the 850... For some reason they think its the wrong Car for bmw.... I told the Museum Guy, that was a wrong...
 Really a Beauty !That Place is very Special.... You opend the Door and smell Rubber an Fuel --> really Great, all Cars are ready to Run (with Plates!!!)

Dackelone, I like what you said: BMW chooses you to come and view the mT; they ought to reserve this ruling for their //M cars.
Thanks for sharing. So many good old fond memories of the early BMW racing heritage cars.

Very very nice! Most have been a treat to see all those cars.. Did you see the real gold plated Mclaren engine room?
