I love the plain debadge look on my 335is, that car has way too many badges.

Excellent points. I fully agree.

Rebadged mine (335 and 128) with gloss black...makes people notice it's different and so forth, but for me it was just because I liked the look better than the chrome. Same reason I went with black grilles on the 128 and body-color on the 335.

I put blue painter's tape along all 4 edges of the set of numbers, then marked where each number's edges were on the top and bottom tape strips. I then removed the numbers with dental floss and cleaned up the adhesive with a mild solvent. Then I did the black numbers one at a time, lining them up with the marks on the tape, pressing them on hard to be sure the adhesive would stick properly. Removed the tape and it was all done.

Removed mine for the cleaner look. I own a 128 but have a 135 diffuser and PE so it's hard to tell with my car...

Hairdryer for 5 minutes. Dental floss. Then use your fingers to get off the thick residue and goo gone for the rest!

Will post up pics of AW with debadge.

Does the dual tail pipe to one side bother you? I personally am not sure if I prefer 2 to one side or one on each like a 3 series. No doubt I like the quad of the 1M. Sorry for the thread jack.

For those that went to a black badge, can the chrome around the roundel be changed?

15 minutes and it's all done. Worst part was getting the wax etc. buildup off.

I used Goof off, sort of let it soak into the adhesive, then twisted all 4 off like it was nothing. Peeled the residue off, wiped it all down with goof off, rinse, wax removed the ghost.

I can't seem to access the item on eBay from the first posts (old). Does anyone know who this eBay seller is?

I am after a set of gloss black 135i badges, but I am also after the letter 's' to add to the end? Cant seem to find the 's' anywhere

when i got my car it was debadged from factory by original owner - it looks cleaner and is MUCH easier to clean/wax etc. but 90% of hatch bmw's here are 120/120d etc. etc... so when i tell them it's a 27x BHP Straight-6 the look on their face is priceless lol

... you know you can get aftermarket replacement roundels, from all the german tuners (as well as different colours, i'm personally getting cf replacement roundels...).. right? can't actually fully 100% remove them without a LOT of effort... that would probably look awesome on the back, have to keep SOMETHING on the front of the bonnet though.

Definitely going to either debadge the 135i badge or replace it with a black mirror badge. Leaning heavily towards debadging. Will never take the roundel off though.

Considering to debadge, especially after a pro detail. It doesn't look like it should be.
This is ironic since I wanted to add an S to 128i to make it 128iS

Once you debadge people will no longer recognize the car you drive and think its worth double.. Atleast from what I've experienced...

if a person cant tell what the car is without the badge, they sure as heck aren't going to know what a 135 is anyway

So I decided to jump on the Debadge band wagon!!! I was contemplating it on the possibilities that ppl might think im a douchebag, asshole, poser, etc... but actually I do like the cleaner look.

I didn't use the goo gone. I used 1/1/1 ratio of water/white vinegar/dish soap...dental floss . Followed up by clay bar, wash, then wax. I did heat the solution in the microwave a lil bit (30 sec) instead of using a hair dryer to heat the adhesive.
