Need advice
Changed from Bridgestone RFT to Pirelli P6's (205/55/16). The ride is smoother, but I don't take sweeps with the same confidence as before. Would springs help? Also, TMS has released a ECU reflash for the 2006 325i. Has anyone done this?

Two words.
Driving Schools. No offense but with more driving skills come confidence. Mod the driver, not the car. After reading your radar detector thread, you really need to get the car on the track before you end up in armco. You want to drive fast, take it off the streets.

My apologies. Sometimes my brain gets crosswired.

I run Toyo T1S on my ti for the street, and Toyo RA1s on the track. I can only comment on feedback I get on the track but the same applies on the street. Stickier tires will give you less feedback in terms of squeal. Turn in will be sharper. They are also less forgiving. You can feel a slight drift (or slip angle) with less aggressive tires. Some tires do need to be driven a bit but 25 days should be more than enough time. I think any tire you use will have different characteristics giving you a different feeling. One is not necessarily better than the other. It all depends what you are looking for. My remark about driving schools was in regards to confidence. If you are not comfortable with a tire you might have to sharpen your skills. This is not a cut or anything. I just think you have a very capable car and you can enjoy it more by driving it better. I think that is what the fun is about BMWs.
