Looks great! IMHO, that's the only color choice for a 1M. Wouldn't sweat the trim color - no big deal.

Check your order sheet and if your dealer made a mistake - get them to change it. One of my older cars starts to get silver specs on the shadowline trim and they can just replace them.

1) It depends on which country you live, if the standard windows trim is aluminum or gloss black. In the US, it is black. In Europe, it is aluminum. Don't know for your country. But I like the alu trim.

2) You cannot setup the M or MDM button in the 1M. There is only 1 pre-defined setting by BMW. So you can push the M button ON or OFF (for faster throttle response), and the MDM button ON (= ESP fully on), semi-OFF (= MDM mode, push once) and full-OFF(= no electronics, push and hold down)

For HK and Macau markets, silver chrome trim is standard. I specifically ordered shadowline trim (black) for my 1M. This is a HK$2k option (plus 100% tax for us).

How many allocations does HK have for the 1M? When will you be getting the delivery? Just curious as I'm from HK but live in sg.

Someone on this board was selling the black tape to make your own Shadowline trim. Apparently, it's not that hard to install.

Sorry mate, looks bad...not trying to hurt you, just in case you are on the fence you might hate it later. Address it now. The dealer might be able fix it, replace the moulding.

Good luck!

12 quota for this year. Understand 10 more deposits down but no quota available. 4 cars have arrived in HK but not on the road yet (3 AW, 1 VO). BMW HK hosting an exhibition next weekend which will include the 1M. Suspect cars will get to buyers soon after.

How much is it in HK? Just want to do a comparison to Aus prices.

There is a new tax system being proposed in HK but there is a movement against it. We'll only find on June 23 which is it. Based on the old system wiith NO options, its HK$669,000 (~ A$80,800 or US$86,000). On the new system, its HK$709,000 (~ A$85,700 or US$91,100).

So as usual the Americans have the sweetest deal. Then again, it could be like my home country Singapore. There it costs more like S$260,000 (~ A$199,000 or US$211,500).

When did you place your deposit and were you given the option list?

My sales told me no options could be chosen for first batch.

And now I haven't got replies from BMWHK after complaining this issue. It is very unlikely to re-order one.

Hi Ivan, have you taken the delivery of your 1M yet? I know some 1Ms to Macau had been shipped to HKG for while before shipping them to Macau.

Were you able to select options when you ordered it? How many 1Ms are there in Macau?
