Should we "mod" the suspension
I had a Dinan stage 3 suspension on my E46 M3 and thatw as a significant improvement on the road and track.
The reviews I have read have called the 1M stock suspension perfect for road and track Should this car's suspension be replaced as new?.. opinions please...

Here's a good start for you. "Perfect" for the track is probably not exactly correct, but I think the poster in this other thread is probably pushing it quite a bit harder than most other folks would on a track. Bottom line: if the car is a DD with an occasional track day, it's probably good like it is. If it's your track machine, you'll probably want to upgrade the suspension. |

It's perfect on the street but feels too soft for serious track use. I don't want to lose the street ride but plan on suspension that is a good compromise.

It does have more pitch, dive, and body roll than I expected but it's by no means excessive. To me, the car gets a lot of it's front end grip from the front suspension travel. Initial turn in has so much bite that you begin to think it will not understeer, but it will at a very high limit. The diff works so well that I found I could minimize the understeer with a little abrupt throttle as soon as the front started giving up and the car would turn neutral to oversteer without delay. It really is a very balanced car that acts as if it really likes it's driver.
