Advan Neova AD08 or Nitto NT05?
Can't decide..going to get for DD and occassional track. I dont drive many miles so mileage isnt so much a concern. Nittos are like 200-300 less so im leaning towards that if the performance is pretty much the same.

Neither are ideal for the street (loud, harsh). So with that being said, I'd get the NT-05's as they are significantly cheaper, and are great for occasional track days (they hold up to heat really well). No need to pay so much more for the AD08 if you'll get no measurable extra performance out of them.

Have you considered star specs? I had them on my track car last year and loved them. I've tracked my 1er on AD08's this year and have not been impressed. Surely mine is an apples to oranges comparison, because they were different cars, but I do believe the star specs are slightly cheaper than the Yoko's...with debatable differences in performance.

Star specs are definitely in the running...looking for good sticky tires that arent too expensive...mileage is not a big deal. My car is 2008 and ive still only 22k miles

star specs are SUPER HEAVY!! They're 5-6lbs heavier on average in the same size.
I have them both, a full set of star specs(225F,255B) and Nitto NTO5's(235F,275B) and even though the Nittos are mounted on heavier wheels they're still lighter then the Dunlops on lighter wheels. |
