Will I be the first 325xi in Montreal????????????

My car is sitting in the parking lot in Halifax awaiting transport to Montreal.

With minimum prep (no front license plate!), I should have this baby by month's end, or maybe even a bit sooner.

Any other Montrealers on this time line????

Be sure to get some photos of it down in the "Old City". Quebec would be cooler.

Spend much time in the Montreal Casino?

The stock market you say? You've got some 'splainin' to do about where the money for my premium package just disappeared to

Grats on the car... and on your restraint! I'm surprised you're not on your way to Halifax

Ya well, been switching to a lotta Money Market lately, even before Katarina..the party was going on too long...

I AM PATIENT, I keep repeating to myself. Besides, with year end the 31st, I don't have time to take delivery on a new car until Nov. 1st (so i tell myself!), and I want it to be a reward for a good year.

NObody can...

During summer you can go roller skating and cycling round the track. But no cars allowed. Believe me I would be one of the first there for sure.

Congrats Stew and patience is always rewarding.

I can't wait to see the difference in height between the xi and the i (even if between an 325 and 330).

Still love mine. But feel something is funny in the straight lines. Almost as if the wheels want to change lane without me asking for it. Might be the width of the tires and the rut in the beautiful roads we have here in Quebec (especially round Montreal).

BTW, have you started to look for winter tires and wheels yet ???

I have talked with Lazer Auto and they do have wheels for 145 $ which look nice. That is relatively cheap. TireRack has some for cheaper but I am wondering once the exchange, custom, shipping and handling are added if the price is really all that better... ?

BTW, TireRack can also have the Replica and they are quite cheap actually if you're at all interested.

PS: Have you seen the picture of my car I created just for you ??

I went to Merson for winter tires for my 325.

Yokohama V901 $155.10 each + tx (they always push Yokos)
Bridgestone Runflat LM22 $243 each + tx

That includes a slight pre-october 15th discount.

There's a place near Lazer that is supposed to be good. I'm going to check it out. Tirerack.com is tempting though...

Hi canadians bm fans,

I also have noticed it benoitch:the wheels want to change lane without me asking for it......it happens only on a bad road with longitudinal damage

it s related to the sport package and you don t feel it without SP.

The main cause of that are the ultra-performance tires (large but not thick..low profile)

Don t worry you`ll get use to it

Now my Both hands are on the stering wheel while I m driving on a bad road

Stew: I am definately on the same timeline. As of yesterday my car is on a train for Montreal. Should get here beginning of next week. Dealer thinks he will have it for end of week next wee. I think I can sit in it Monday the 24th.

Can't wait either.

BTW for those inqusitive about winter tires. Got mine through internet: Tiretrends.com; approx. $2,000 for mag/wheel package, Dunlop M3 runflats (love dunlop winters) and M5 replica wheels. I got the package two days ago (got the wheels-need the car). Looks fantastic-almost better than the sport package wheels.

I am now officially on valium until my car gets here.

I will have my girlish 16 inch wheels, but that's okay on Montreal and surrounding roads and highways! Bring on the potholes!

There was another poster from Ottawa who paid about 300 in duties on a $1200 order from Tirerack...I can't be bothered with that uncertainty even though Tirerack are generous sponsors of our board.

I have a client who is a tire and wheel dealer, I may ask him, or if I don't have time I'll do the Lazer thing.

Not really going to stress on that until the snow flies. Then I'll buy the setup and put it on at home in my Garage.

Circuit Gilles Villeneuve eh? I have been on it on a motorcycle at slow speeds during a Honda test drive once, and I've ridden on it on my bike once as well...that's it!

Tom, did you ever solve your license plate hole problem?

Benoit, I saw the special pic, yes, check the thread!!!

Are you getting a RWD or xDrive?
Are the M5 replicas cool? Are they 17"?

Other suggestion for winter wheels

if you check around the different BMW dealers, sometimes they have specials on wheels... picked up style 88 wheels a couple of years ago for around $240 / wheel... saw some style 43 last spring as well...

(wow... first post )
