Clutch - Delayed Engagement
I have been noticing that there is a delay from my foot full engagement to the clutch actually engaging, starting to annoy me because its making me feel like a retard driving it, which im not denying is possible
but id like to think there is something that is doing this. I have seen a few threads about different clutch issues just not sure which out of them is this exact problem and how to fix it. |

Ok, could you by chance post a link to this, or is this something that the dealer can do?

The clutch delay valve is there for people that can't drive stick. It cause really rough shifts. I have had it removed on my last two and it is night and day difference in shifting. You can have it removed and drilled out a little so it is still on the car if warranty issues are a worry.

You can keep the standard appearance by using the original valve. No need to drill anything, just pop out the restrictor in the valve using a suitable sized punch and put the valve back in line. You must pressure bleed the system afterwards. Dealer won't do this if the car is still under warranty. Should you be concerned that you will have a warranty issue at some time you can put the restrictor back in.
This is one the cheapest and simplest mods you can do. |

does everyone have a CDV on the stock 1M's?? I haven't felt any such delay in the clutch...as in, when i want to shift, I can do it almost simultaneously with the depression of the clutch...

Have it pulled and just put it back in if you need to.

Protects the drive-train components and puts more load on the clutch. Drive-shaft & diff are covered by warranty, clutch isn't.
