Back with 135i
Hey all,
It's been a year since I was last on the BMW forums with my M coupe, (hence the user name z4mman haha) but now I'm on to a new project car. I recently purchased a 2012 135i to start modding. It's my first non-M BMW, having owned two e92 M3's, an M6, an M coupe and an e46 M3, but this car is by far my favorite. It is my goal to make this car as competitive as the new 1M and make it look just as good. I just ordered Advan rims in 19's and I have a few more surprises coming this week too. I'll be posting pics in the exterior thread shorty and will be keeping y'all posted with the mods to come.

Wow! Nice BMW history...I'm a bit jealous. Still waiting for my 1st M...almost pulled the trigger on a 2006 e46 M3 but bought the 135i instead. I dont regret it
Welcome back. |

Welcome back. The new N55 engine is incredible! Did you get the 6MT or DCT?

its a dct, it has every option except the m package i believe. which i chose not to get since i knew i was going to change the rims and such. The reason the 135i is so good in my opinion is because it almost begs to be modified to its owners liking, where as the M cars are so good that messing with them almost seems wrong, i had motons on my e92 m and they were great but i felt like some of the, i guess you could say M'ness went away with each mod you threw at it. the 135i on the other hand just loves it, as long as you stay true to the way it was built and keep in mind bmw wanted a low weight nimble car, a wolf in sheeps clothing if you will lol, but i feel bmw wanted us the owners to add our personal touches but thats just my opinion
