After 25 years of lusting I finally have my BMW and took delivery today. Thanks to all who share their experience and wisdom here, it's priceless for a rookie like me!

I live about an hour east of Pittsburgh, and purchased from Bobby Rahal BMW in Canonsburg. The buying experience there was exceptional from start to finish! There are four other BMW dealerships closer to me but I would buy again from them without hesitation.

Me too! The BMW 1M is my first BMW. Really the first one I was interested in... always respected the M cars but never wanted one until this "True M" was built.

Couldn't have said it better myself. My first BMW too. I had a couple of people that kept telling me "get the 135", "the 135 is awesome" etc, but I really wanted to hold out for an M. Thank god I did!

Same here...first beamer. Had a mate with a modded 335 who set me on this path...Not a bad entry into the world of BMW ownership
